She has taught at universities, international schools, and military bases in various countries including Thailand (Peace Corps), South Korea, Singapore, and Iran. In the United States, she has worked at New York Military Academy and Hargrave Military Academy and recently retired from Brunswick County Public School District in July. Billie is fluent in Spanish and Thai, with a basic knowledge of French, German, and Hangul. She hails from a family of small business owners on both sides and currently resides in Southside Virginia with her two dogs, Ginger and Charleigh. Her hobbies include reading, creative writing, and genealogy.
